Privacy Policy — Tally

Last updated: 13 June 2026

This privacy policy describes how the Tally — Sidebar Calculator with History browser extension ("Tally", "we", "the extension") handles information. Please read it carefully.

Information we collect

Tally stores your calculation history so you can review past results. This history is saved locally on your own device, using your browser's built-in storage. Tally does not collect your name, email address, location, browsing activity, or any other personal or sensitive information.

How your data is used

Your calculation history is used for one purpose only: to display your previous calculations inside the extension. It is never used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

Data sharing and transmission

Tally does not transmit your data to us or to any third party. Your calculation history never leaves your device. We do not sell, rent, or share any user data, because we do not receive any.

Permissions

Tally requests the storage permission solely to save your calculation history locally, and the sidePanel permission to display the calculator in the browser's side panel. Tally requests no other permissions.

Data retention and deletion

Your history remains on your device until you clear it from within the extension, or until you uninstall Tally, which removes all locally stored data.

Children's privacy

Tally is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
